it was done in two sessions as we lack manpower and suitable location to handle 244 semester 1 students.

anyway, it was a fun English Camp despite the fact that all 5 English Lecturers & 16 Facilitators 'sacrificed' 2 consecutive weekends for this program. In another word, they had no Saturday-Sunday break for 2 weeks straight!!! They never complained about it... that's how dedicated they are to their tasks. For that, I tabik spring to them....toing toing toing....

The only complained they uttered: students' attendance. About 30 students 'refused' to attend...perhaps they think their English is already like a Mat/Minah Salehs that there's no point for them to attend such camp.

For them, the college will 'arrange' a suitable punishment.

so unexpected

last friday, at 1.45pm, my paksu, Hj Kamarulzaman Hj Ab Rahim, passed away at the age of 47.
cause of death?
AMI = Acute Myocardial Infarction

my dad was sobbing when he called me at 2pm. i was at a friend's house in Jasin, 30 minutes from my house.

maka aku pun bertukau menjadi minah rempit & minah drift la...

and for the first time in my life, i made calls and text people while driving.

when his body finally arrived at his home (which is also my late grandparents' home), semua sebak and menangis semula. especially bila tengok anak-anak dia, Jannah 9 tahun and Wardah 7 bulan.

paksu selamat dikebumikan pada jam 5.30pm hari yg sama.

adik-beradik ipar-duai abah semua ada kecuali my Pak Uda (adik abah) who was in Kuching masa tu, and Pakcik Jamal (husband my aunty) who was in the hospital (ulcer dalam perut and complication due to gout). I think my pak uda yg paling terkilan tak sempat tgk adik dia for the last time.

even my brothers & sisters tak sempat tengok paksu kami for the last time.

as for me... tipu la kalau kata tak sedih. sebak sesangat....

dan paksu sungguh istimewa. arwah lahir pada hari jumaat, 'pergi' nya juga hari jumaat.

untuk paksu... damailah dikau di sana... semoga roh paksu dicucuri rahmat dan ditempatkan bersama orang2 beriman... al-Fatihah

Tok Mami Wan Noor, also known as 'Nani' Wan Noor (Nani means Nenek in loghat 'Tanjung'), is the wife to my mom's uncle, arwah Tok Mamak Ahmad. Tok Mamak is the younger brother to my mom's late dad, Abu Bakar bin Mahmud.

Tok Mami is from Penang while Tok Mamak = Kg. Titi Gajah Alor Star, Kedah.

Today, me and my parents went to her granddaughter's wedding at Dewan Merak Kayangan, KL. And we met a few long-lost cousins, aunts and uncles. So you see, wedding or engagement receptions are great places to meet people who you haven't met for ages. Also the place where you normally learn that you are related to so-and-so.

At the moment, Tok Mami leaves in Kg.Delek Kiri, Klang with her second child, Azizah.

I have never met my maternal granddad as he passed away in 1969. But i have met Tok Mamak Ahmad a few times.
