For the first time in my life, I had the chance to eat…well, I don’t recall its exact name, but let’s call it “sireh kadok”.
For lunch today, the whole Jabatan Pengajian Am went to Kings & I café, owned by King’s Hotel, Melaka. We chose to have their 4-course “Thai lunch-set”. We were also given a small glass of lemongrass (serai daa…) juice (each) as a welcome drink… After a few sips, I decided that I …don’t like the taste.
Anyway, the starter was that sireh kadok item. Since no one has ever eaten it, our waitress-in-charge willingly obliged to help us with the course. First she folded the leaf into a cone, then she filled it with one or 2 bits of each condiments and finally, a spoon of its gravy. Then, eat it all in one go...
the taste?
YUMMMMMYYYYYYYYYY......!!!
(don't worry, it won't make your lips, mouth or spit red)
