kengkadang je dapat rasa camni

lauk kenduri jiran tengahari tadik: grang asam, sambal belacan, nangka masak lemak, kari ayam, acar & ikan kering. Makan plak kat blakang umah dikelilingi pokok-pokok nan rimbun... angin lak berhembus kuat masa tu... fuhhhh...

nasib baik le kat umah orang... and makan plak dgn makcik2 & nenek2 sekitar rumah. if kat umah sendiri... mau aku tambah 2-3 kali!!!

nasib baik tuan rumah bagi kitorang berkat lauk yg sama... so... balun lagi le kat umah pastu! hehehe

but the ambience at that lunch hour moment was... really jarang dapat rasa.

my point; money down the drain if some people couldn't even master the Simple Past Tense verb for 'cut' is 'cut' and not 'cutted'

so today i'm officially 25 years old....

i still remember some of my birthday celebrations...

- students singing Happy Birthday in class

- students singing Happy Birthday right in the middle of the morning assembly
(horrified giler masa ni... hehehe... takut Pengetua bising)

- students singing Happy Birthday during Majlis Aidilfitri
(the Pengetua jokingly asked them later... ni majlis raya or majlis birthday cikgu kamu?)

- surprised birthday celebration from friends & students
(which somehow i managed to 'sense' coz it was a tad too obvious they're up to something... hehehe)

- receiving gifts from students and friends and family...
(from flowers to perfumes to teddy bears.... hehehe)

and one the most surprising birthday gifts was when someone sent me a bouquet of red and white roses many years ago. I was so 'blur' masa tu... sampai nyaris tak dapat tips delivery boy tu... hehehe.... nasib baik housemate "here's your tip and thanks"... sambil tarik aku masuk dalam umah balik. Coz it was dead winter at that time... hahaha.... blur yg amat sangat sampai sejuk winter tu pun aku tak perasan it's there.

anyway, to that person... and everyone who has wished & gave presents and memories... do know that i really appreciate everything...

Pahang Declares Three Days Of Mourning

KUANTAN, Jan 23 (Bernama) -- Pahang has declared three days of mourning from Saturday as a mark of respect for Sultan Iskandar Ibni Almarhum Sultan Ismail of Johor, who died yesterday.

Pahang State Secretary Datuk Muhammad Safian Ismail said all government departments and government agencies were discouraged from organising any activities that had elements of fun or entertainment during the period while the state flag is to be flown at half mast.

"The directive has been disseminated to the heads of departments concerned via the short-messaging service. The private sector is also encouraged to follow suit," he told Bernama here.

Alhamdulillah...

yesterday's MARA circular had confirmed that i've been approved to be 1 of DG44 teachers. To make it 'sweeter'... the kenaikan pangkat will be backdated to 1st of April 2008.

you may ask, why lambat naik pangkat...

sebab aku ni malas nak amik PTK tu... hehehe
my kenaikan is based on my years of service + PTK + big boss' recommendation.
if nak cepat naik pangkat, rajin2 le study for PTK...

untuk study some things yg takde kene mengene dengan my job spec...
memang aku kurang sanggup.

lebeh baik aku study to be a better teacher.
pangkat has no meaning if the quality of a job done is... ntah pape....
lagipun, i want satisfaction... not duit or pangkat.

and of course, to see my students... successful

Location: MITC Ayer Keroh

despite many products yg sama (read: kerepek, fruit cordials), there are some highlights why people should not miss these kind of showcase.

each state is given 1 lot to display whatever product they want to show/sell.
beside states, agencies related to local products like MARA, SME, MITI also displayed & sold some stuffs. some states also presented their local traditional cultures.
(which reminds me, ada someone tu penah menari Sumazau masa sekolah rendah.... hehehe)

walaupun bentuk lain, tapi rasa tetap sama macam kueh kapit nyonya melaka

itu yg dalam dewan. yg diluar, under 1 huge open-air tent, each state is given a few stalls to promote their local food.we bought nasi kerabu, rendang tok + ketupat palas and mee kolok. owh, i also showed my parents "ha, tu la gulai batang pisang" when we stopped at gerai Kedah. my dad's family tetibe je asked me Aidiladha baru ni about gulai batang pisang.

i also bumped into Jawa Rangers HotFM (AG & Kieran), Azizah Arifin WHI & Maria JJCM.

There was also 1 indoor traditional perfomance by a troupe from a primary school in Bukit Kepong, Muar. Alahai... comey-comey belaka the performers. Especially those 2 little boys... budak darjah 1 or 2 kot. They did tarian zapin, tarian asyik, tarian kerinching and tarian piring.

also, a fashion show by bebudak tadika.
1st 'model'... pakai baju tradisi Kadazan. bijak jugak budak nye... technician silap pasang lagu dia... she told Kieran, cikgu kata kalau lagu salah, jangan naik pentas.
hahahaha... bijak... bijak...
and bila lagu dia terpasang, ramai bersorak.
apa tak nye, kitorang yg tengok ingat, dia akan naik pentas and jalan macam model.

we passed the stall and goodness me... the line waiting for the noodles, panjang!!!
belum lagi yg dok menunggu kat kerusi meja tersedia... full-house.
melayu ada, cina ada, india ada... really 1Malaysia kat situ....
